The Amazonian Summit is not limited to theoretical discussions, but seeks to generate concrete actions. According to [director of the organization Fundamedios, César] Ricaurte, the previous edition of the event has already given rise to new spaces on national television to address environmental issues and has allowed scientists, academics and activists to establish contact with journalists. This has contributed to making environmental issues more visible and broadening the coverage of environmental issues in media.

Similarly to the first edition of the Summit, 60 scholarships will be offered. Those interested can apply through the site www.cumbreamazonica.org."
