Thomson Foundation calls for audience and security studies in Brazil and Colombia

Berlin-based Thomson Media has opened four calls for audience research and safety assessment studies in Brazil and Colombia, as part of the Advancing Global Innovation and Learning Effectively to Build Resilience in Independent Media (AGILE) project. The initiatives seek to strengthen the resilience of independent media in both countries.

In Brazil, the aim is to conduct an audience study focused on identifying revenue diversification opportunities for news media. The analysis will include consumption habits, preferred platforms and the public's willingness to pay for content. In addition, a security assessment will be conducted focusing on physical, digital and regulatory risks faced by the Brazilian independent press. Both calls for applications have a deadline of July 4, 2025.

In parallel, studies with the same objectives will be developed in Colombia: one on audience analysis, which seeks to provide key data to design sustainable business models. And another on security evaluation, which will examine threats to journalism and their impact on the financial sustainability of the media. The deadline for applications is also July 4.

Those interested may request more information and send their application to jobs@thomsonfoundation.org.
