The Attorney General's Office of the State of Puebla informed this Thursday [May 25] that it identified two people allegedly involved in the murder of journalist Marco Aurelio Ramírez that took place on Tuesday [May 23] in the municipality of Tehuacán [in Mexico]. In a press conference, state prosecutor Gilberto Higuera Bernal said that he will soon announce the identity of those responsible for the crime, and he also expects that they will be presented to investigate the motive of the crime.
The state prosecutor detailed that the person who shot the journalist fled aboard a vehicle accompanied by another person, who was the driver. We have information that allows us to visualize who the perpetrators of this crime were," he said.
Marco Aurelio Ramírez Hernández, a journalist and former municipal official, was murdered on Tuesday in the city of Tehuacán, Puebla. This is the third journalist to be murdered so far in 2023 [in Mexico], according to organizations defending freedom of expression".
