"The United States has demanded that the Nicaraguan government, headed by Daniel Ortega and Rosario Murillo, provide proof of life for 62-year-old Nicaraguan journalist Leo Catalino Cárcamo Herrera, who was arrested on Nov. 23, 2024, by the National Police of León.
According to the State Department office, the Nicaraguan journalist's whereabouts 'remain unknown after the Murillo-Ortega dictatorship detained him simply for practicing his profession.'"
