"Journalists from Venezuelan investigative site Armando.Info rejected accusations from Venezuelan prosecutor, Tarek William Saab, who accused them of allegedly receiving bribes and being involved in the PDVSA-Cripto plot. Likewise, journalistic organizations condemned the attempt to involve workers of the country's press in conspiracies.
On May 7, Saab presented a video of an alleged confession by Samark López, who is detained as part of the Maduro purge, in which he pointed out several journalists and social media influencers, including the members of Armando-Info, with whom he claimed 'to have a relationship' and whom he accused of supposedly 'doing investigative work to mask how they were ordered to destroy the reputations of important people in the politics of the Venezuelan State, as well as local businessmen.'"
