Meanwhile, the National College of Journalists (CNP, by its Spanish acronym) reported on Nov. 25 that Venezuela's National Telecommunications Commission (Conatel) closed down the radio station Class 98.7, located in the state of Cojedes. The closure was determined by Conatel through the Resolution No. GST-RS-00780, which states that the action is due to the termination of airwaves concession. The Class 98.7 radio station had been operating for 30 years in that state.
So far, the NGO Venezuela Sin Filtro has already denounced the blocking of 47 news outlets and 70 domains, for which they recommend users to install a VPN to be able to access Venezuelan media and overcome censorship."
