The journalist's defense lawyer, Joel García, shared the information on social media. He said the opening of this new new trial takes place a month and a half after the interruption of the judicial process. 'The new judge in the case set the opening of the trial for Sept. 28, 2023, that is, one month before the third anniversary of Carreño's arbitrary detention (dating back to Oct. 26, 2020),' García said."
