"The anonymous Instagram account Venezuela Megafono (@vzlamegafono) published two posts in which it falsely accuses journalist Laura Clisánchez of extortion and offering journalistic services in exchange for payment. The case is being handled by the Prosecutor's Office.
The first publication against Clisánchez took place on May 15, when unidentified persons created a false email address using her name (lauraclisanchezperiodista@gmail.com) to offer journalistic services in exchange for payment. They accused her of writing notes in Correo del Caroní [a news outlet in southern Venezuela] with the intention of creating smear opinion campaigns or manipulating public opinion."
