"The National Union of Press Workers (SNTP, for its Spanish initials) reported that police and intelligence officers intimidated a journalist yesterday [March 27] while he was covering a protest for the release of political prisoners, amidst the ongoing amnesty process.
The EFE agency reports that the SNTP, in a post on X, said that on Friday night, journalist Jesús Gutiérrez was livestreaming a protest by relatives of political prisoners outside El Helicoide—headquarters of the Bolivarian National Intelligence Service (SEBIN)—when officers from that agency and the Bolivarian National Police requested information about the journalist.
'The uniformed officers approached the scene and, without interrupting the broadcast, began asking those present for the journalist's details,' said the union, which highlighted that Gutiérrez has been providing continuous coverage of the protests for the release of political prisoners."
