"Journalist Fernando Busian, a member of the communications team for the Socialism and Liberty Party (PSOL, for its Portuguese initials), reports that he has been the target of threats since last Wednesday (March 25).
The case was reported on Monday (March 30) at the Cybercrimes Division of the São Paulo Civil Police, and the journalist believes the motive is political violence. 'A distinctly far-right discourse,' he said in an interview with Agência Brasil.
Busian recounts that the attacks began following the distribution of a press release regarding the change of leadership within the PSOL-Rede Federation. The text was sent to a mailing list of 1,700 recipients from different parts of the country.
On the same day, messages regarding cemeteries and funeral services began to arrive, and a fake profile in his name was created on the GetNinjas platform, which is used to hire service providers. Based on this registration, he reports receiving quotes for additional funeral services as well as from security companies."
