A drug dealer threatened two radio hosts in the northern Argentine province of Salta, reported the Argentine Journalism Forum (FOPEA in Spanish).
Hosts Gloria Seco and Claudio Ruiz of Radio Cuidad, which broadcasts in San Ramón de la Nueva Orán near the Bolivian border, received two threats in four days after speaking out against drug trafficking on their program, "Arriba todo el mundo."
The journalists said that the threats came from hired thugs that confronted them after interviewing a judge about the quick release of individuals accused of drug trafficking, reported the website Infórmate Salta.
Both journalists reported the threats to Orán's 24th Precinct, according to FOPEA.
The official YouTube channel of the Argentine Border Police has several videos on their anti-drug trafficking operations in Salta and other regions across the South American country.
