An Argentine photojournalist received text messages threatening his life after he did not photograph a musical group performing at a Carnival celebration in Corrientes, Argentina, reported CorrientesHoy.
Marcos Mendoza, photographer for the newspaper El Litoral, received two threatening texts, according to the same publication. The messages accuse Mendoza of being a traitor for not photographing the musical group Académicos del Carnaval.
The second text threatened Mendoza's family, and threatened to hang him with his own camera, reported Crónica Viva.
Mendoza later received a phone call from the president of the musical group, José Giuliani, assuring him that he had no idea where the threats came from, reported El Litoral.
