Mexican Playboy editor reports receiving death threats for covering corruption

Argentine journalist Gabriel Bauducco, editor of the Playboy magazine in Mexico, reported receiving death threats through several anonymous e-mails on Wednesday, Aug. 1, according to a video on the magazine's website.

Bauducco said that the magazine published about corruption cases that affect the family members of Mexican prisoners, such as recruiting supporters to be taken to political candidate events during the recent presidential campaign, according to the freedom of expression organization Article 19.

Bauducco is a journalist famous for his interviews and writing style. Among his publications is the book El Secreto de la Entrevista (The Secret of the Interview), published in 2001.
