Argentine photographer in serious condition after being hit by tear gas canister

"A photographer capturing images of the retirees' march to Congress [in Argentina] alongside soccer club fans was injured during the brutal repression by security forces ordered by the government. Pablo Grillo, a freelance photojournalist, was hit in the head by one of the tear gas canisters fired by security forces at the protesters. He is hospitalized at Ramos Mejía Hospital and is in serious condition.

Grillo works independently. He arrived at the hospital where he was referred with 'severe head trauma with loss of brain mass.' He underwent surgery and his prognosis is being withheld."
