Brazil: Abraji opens registration for the free online course Independent Journalism

"Abraji is launching, with support from Meta, the course 'Independent Journalism: How to develop sustainable journalistic projects,' which will be held in three modules. The first one, Inspiring, opens enrollment this Wednesday (April 12, 2023).

The module will be online and asynchronous, with eight sessions with Portuguese subtitles available on Abraji's course platform during the month of May. The first stage sheds light on the future. Eight prominent journalists talk about their vision for career and work, forming a rich mosaic of ideas that will help participants build their own perspective on the profession and where journalism is headed.

Registration for the first module can be submitted via this form until April 25, 2023. The next two modules will be offered in June (Entrepreneurs), and July and August (Creators).

Participants who complete the three modules will receive a certificate and will be eligible to apply for a $2,500 scholarship to develop a journalistic project and receive mentoring for five months with market experts. The selection of projects will be made by International Center For Journalists (ICFJ) and the funds will be provided by Meta."
