"The Congressional Legislative Police passed with a dog through the Green Room of the Chamber of Deputies searching backpacks and purses of journalists 45 minutes before the scheduled start time of Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva's inauguration ceremony.
To gain access to Congress, the professionals passed through two metal detectors. The same happened when returning to the restrooms, which could only be accessed until 2pm, one hour before the ceremony.
The extra security measures were being adopted due to recent and recurrent bomb threats in Brasilia. The president was advised to wear a bulletproof vest today."
