Mexican prosecutor asks for 50 years for alleged murderer of journalist Javier Valdez

"The Special Prosecutor's Office for Crimes committed against Freedom of Expression (Feadle) of Mexico requested this Tuesday a sentence of 50 years in prison for one of those accused of the murder of journalist Javier Valdez, which occurred on May 15, 2017 .

In a hearing held after a 20-month delay, Feadle formalized its accusation against Juan Francisco 'N' for the qualified murder of Valdéz as a co-participant, revealed Propuesta Cívica, an entity founded in 2011 to defend and promote human rights and freedom of expression in Mexico."
