Mexico: Almost eight years since the crime of photojournalist Rubén Espinosa and four women, relatives demand progress from Attorney General's Office

"Almost eight years after the crime, relatives of Mexican photojournalist Rubén Espinosa and the other four women murdered in what is known as the Narvarte Case demanded progress from the Attorney General's Office of Mexico City, especially in determining the motive and identifying the masterminds.

At a press conference held at the Mexico City Human Rights Commission, relatives of the five victims, the lawyer in the case and Alberto Arnaut, director of the documentary 'A plena luz [In broad daylight],' which deals with the case, took stock of the state of the investigations.

The multiple murder shook Mexico on July 31, 2015, when the bodies of Espinosa, activist Nadia Vera, domestic worker Alejandra Negrete, Colombian model Mile Martin, and makeup artist Yesenia Quiroz were found lifeless in a home in the Narvarte neighborhood, a middle-class neighborhood in the capital city."
