Among the repeated attacks against the press in Peru, legal complaints, smears based on false information and conspiracy theories have become the most common forms of attack against the Peruvian press. Some of the cases mentioned as examples are that of journalist Paola Ugaz, Pedro Salinas and Daniel Yovera, who carried out investigations into the Sodalicium (a Catholic group founded in Peru)."
