Reporter receives death threat while filming police raid in Argentina

"Journalist Juan Ignacio Segovia, known for running the digital outlet Concordia Policiales, was threatened with death Tuesday while reporting in the southern area of Concordia.

Segovia told Diario Río Uruguay that the incident happened as he filmed a police operation in which several suspects were detained by provincial security forces. During the procedure, a neighbor of one of those arrested confronted him and said: “I’ll catch you alone and I’ll kill you,” according to the journalist’s account.

The man was later arrested on orders from police chief Mario Mattio of the First Precinct, accused of resisting authorities. Segovia noted that this is not the first time he has been intimidated because of his work. He has previously received threats, including suspicious visits near his home."
