Argentine journalists publish results of survey into best films about journalists

"The site Periodistas en el cine (Journalists in the movies), a project created by journalists Federico Poore and Manuel Barrientos, is dedicated to exhaustively reflecting the representation of journalism on the big screen. Based on previous work, their own research and data from national film libraries, the site offers an interactive database that allows you to explore more than 3,200 titles from the silent era to the present.

With the idea of presenting a ranking of the best 200 films about the journalistic profession and the world of media, Poore and Barrientos carried out a survey in which 463 journalists, filmmakers, actors and actresses and academics from more than 20 countries participated. Citizen Kane, the classic film directed by and starring Orson Welles, when he was just 24 years old, easily took first place."
