"Venezuelan journalist Martí Hurtado and his wife, Nelly Pulgar, were released on Saturday night (May 29), after they were arrested on Friday and detained at a police headquarters in the city of Coro, as reported by the National Union of Press Workers of Venezuela (SNTP, for its acronym in Spanish).

The couple 'were accused of embezzlement of the illegal use and possession of a firearm,' the union recalled in another message in which it also clarified that the judge in the case declared 'the nullity of the records' and that ;the defense requested that they be referred to the prosecutor's office for justice to be done regarding a procedure that damaged the morale of the family.'

Hurtado and his wife were missing for more than 12 hours, ‘after an unidentified police force raided his house,’ in the town of Punto Fijo, Falcón state, on Thursday night, according to the union."
