Washington Post creates data tool based on project from Brazil's Lupa

"In July, Lupa, a Brazilian fact-checking agency, launched the data visualization tool No epicentro (At the epicenter). Created to draw people's attention to those who died from COVID-19, the methodology simulates what it would be like if all those who died were close to each one of us, if they were our neighbors. The tool was very successful among the community of journalists, data engineers and designers in Brazil and worldwide.

The Washington Post, on 9/24, launched its own English version, At the epicenter."
