Mexican crime reporter threatened with note left beside human remains

"Journalist Paco Cedeño, known for covering crime and public safety in the eastern state of Morelos, received a death threat through an intimidating message left next to human remains in the town of Cuautla.

The threat was reported Monday, Nov. 10, when, according to local media, residents in the area alerted authorities after finding a human head alongside a sign addressed to Cedeño along the Mexico–Oaxaca highway.

The message, allegedly signed by an organized crime group, contained a direct warning to the reporter, who covers crime-related stories through his news site pacocedeño.com and his Facebook page."
