Cuban blogger Sanchez denied permission to travel to Brazil

By Ingrid Bachmann

Cuban authorities have blocked Yoani Sanchez, author of Generation Y, from traveling to Brazil to see a documentary on censorship in Cuba and Honduras, EFE reports.

The government has delayed responding to her request, effectively blocking her from the island, Sanchez said on her Twitter account. “A strategy to prevent us nonconformists from traveling is delaying ‘ad infinitum’ the invitation letter,” she wrote, quoted by EFE.
