12th Ibero-American Colloquium of Digital Journalism to gather professionals from Latin America, Spain & Portugal; Register now

Registration is now open for the 12th Ibero-American Colloquium of Digital Journalism.

This annual seminar is offered on April 14, 2019 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Belo Center for New Media on the University of Texas at Austin campus.

The Colloquium follows the International Symposium on Online Journalism (ISOJ) and all ISOJ attendees from Latin America, Spain and Portugal are invited to register.

The event is free and breakfast and lunch will be served.

What started as a small gathering after the close of ISOJ has turned into a large event that attracted 125 participants last year alone.

During the Colloquium, which is conducted in Spanish, participants will discuss digital journalism in Ibero-America, including innovations in storytelling, business models, sustainability, investigation and more.

In the past, invited speakers have explained how their newsrooms or news organizations are adapting to the digital revolution or were formed as a result.

Last year featured special panels on coverage of corruption, and the Knight Center series and ebook “Innovators in Latin American Journalism.”

There will be time for discussion and debate about what journalism looks like now and where it is headed.

Sign up now to ensure you have a space at our colloquium.
