The third team of the Investigative Reporting Unit of the Argentine Journalism Forum (FOPEA) published the multimedia report “The route of hake: from overfishing to a luxury good.” The package includes infographics, a fishing dictionary, and video interviews.

The report focuses on overfishing and price abuse in the sales chain of the fish. It emphasizes the lack of government control on fishing activity and the resulting economic and ecological consequences. The team included Ricardo Mosso, Sandra Crucianelli, Adrián Sandler and Pedro Caram, with assistance from Connie Varela.

As with the two previous investigations, any medium interested in disseminating the report can do so for free, as long as it cites the FOPEA team. See the newest investigation here.
