As a result of a judicial decision, Brazilian blogger Noel Júnior had his home office equipment confiscated in the municipality of São Francisco do Itabapoana, the blogger said on his site.
According to the blogger, the action was motivated by a commentary on his blog against a company that provides services to the local city government. "Right now I'm in a LAN House because I don't have my work equipment," he wrote in a post.
The parents of Noel Júnior were surprised Wednesday, Oct. 26, by the arrival of a court officer accompanied by armed police looking to confiscate the blogger's equipment.
Other bloggers have demonstrated support for their colleague, calling the confiscation "unjustifiable censorship."
