Outgoing President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva gave his first blogger-only interview Nov. 24, Bruno Siffredi writes for Estadão. The interview was streamed live by the participants and on the government’s Blog do Planalto.
Lula is following in the footsteps of U.S. President Barack Obama, who in October was reportedly the first sitting leader to give an exclusive interview to bloggers. The idea for the such an interview with Lula was first proposed back in August at the inaugural National Meeting of Progressive Bloggers, EFE explains. Ten bloggers from different parts of the country will participate.
