Magangué Hoy reports that a homemade bomb was thrown at one of its journalist’s house in the northern Colombian city of Magangué. No one was injured in the attack.
“Fortunately no one was in my house when the incident took place,” said journalist Rodolfo Zambrano, quoted by RCN Radio.
According to El Meridiano de Sucre, firefighters put out the resulting blaze, which only damaged the building’s entrance. Police are still investigating the motive for the attack.
In January 2008, another Magangué Hoy reporter, Alexander Guerrero, allegedly received death threats from a former mayor.
