After accusations of skewed coverage of the security forces strike in Río de Janeiro favoring the government, on Sunday, Feb. 12, a news team from TV Globo was harassed and thrown out of a protest of firefighters and military police in the neighborhood of Copacabana, reported the news portal Terra and newspaper Jornal do Brasil.
According to the newspaper Estado de São Paulo, the demonstrators were throwing water bottles at the TV station's personnel. They then pursued the journalists until they had returned to their vehicle, shouting “Out with Globo,” added Yahoo. No one was hurt in the altercation.
A video that recorded the incident shows about 100 demonstrators harassing several TV Globo correspondents that had come to cover the event, but could not do their work, explained Brasil 247.
