Fala Roça holds first Community Journalism Conference in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil

"Rio de Janeiro will host the first edition of the Community Journalism Conference that will take place between Nov. 30 and Dec. 1 for invited journalists.

About 20 journalists from the favelas of Rio, Bahia and Espírito Santo will discuss the new directions of community journalism, participate in activities and watch panels on media sustainability, data generation, representativeness in the territory, among other subjects.

The event is held by Fala Roça and the Consulate General of the United States in Rio de Janeiro, with institutional support from the Agency for Youth Networks."
