Mexico: Armed group intimidates journalists from El Universal newspaper and threatens to set them on fire

"Journalists from EL UNIVERSAL and environmental protection activists were attacked and threatened with death by an armed group while documenting the extraction of tepetate (brittle volcanic rock) on the Tecalco-Chiconautla hill, in San Pablo Tecalco, in the municipality of Tecámac, State of Mexico. The tepetate was destined to consolidate the infrastructure of the new Felipe Ángeles International Airport (AIFA).

The men forced the two reporters, the photographer and the activist to erase the recorded material while intimidating them with shots from a long weapon. They also threatened to kill them if they returned to the place."
