Journalists from Guerrero, Mexico denounce political and criminal complicity to stop their work

"Journalists from Guerrero [Mexico] denounced the attacks they suffer while exercising their profession and pointed to authorities from the three levels of government and members of criminal groups that operate in a coordinated manner in different areas of Guerrero, with the collaboration of police forces.

This position is the core of a document addressed to President Andrés Manuel López Obrador, Governor Héctor Astudillo Flores and the president of the National Human Rights Commission (CNDH), Rosario Piedra Ibarra, which the journalist Sergio Ocampo Arista read upon receiving the popular award Sentimientos del Pueblo granted by social organizations to social activists to recognize their work in defense of citizens' rights."
