“At a time of global pressure on journalism, the advance of artificial intelligence (AI) and on the eve of Brazil’s 2026 elections, the 3i Festival is returning for its seventh edition with discussions on the challenges facing digital journalism and the future of information. The event will take place May 29-31 at Porto Maravalley in Rio de Janeiro and marks the fifth anniversary of the Association of Digital Journalism (Ajor, by its acronym in Portuguese), which organizes the festival. The program includes panels, workshops and case presentations, as well as new initiatives such as 3i Talks, Troca de Ideias (ideas exchange) and the launch of the Portuguese edition of the book ‘Captura.’ Tickets are now available on Sympla.
The festival brings together guests from Brazil and abroad working at the intersection of journalism, technology and innovation to expand the exchange of experiences and discuss contemporary challenges in the production and circulation of news, from strengthening local and independent journalism to seeking sustainable business models for the industry. The program will address topics such as content distribution, the impact of digital platforms, strategies to rebuild public trust and engagement with journalism, and the spread of disinformation.”
