"Two of the three journalists abducted in Mexico by suspected drug traffickers at the end of December were released this Thursday [Jan. 12], according to authorities and the organization Reporters Without Borders (RSF, for its acronym in French).

Journalist Jesús Pintor Alegre and his collaborator Fernando Moreno Villegas were 'found alive' in the state of Guerrero (south) by security forces that were working to find them, the regional prosecutor's office said in a statement.

The whereabouts of journalist Alan García Aguilar, deprived of his freedom on Dec. 27 along with Pintor and Moreno, with whom he works at the digital news site Escenario Calentano, are unknown."
