On the afternoon of Monday, March 12, a cameraman working for TV Record was attacked while covering a traffic accident in Campo Grande, capital of the Brazilian state of Mato Grosso do Sul, reported the news site MS Record.
The reporter, Itamar Silva, was covering an accident between a motorcycle and a car for the program "Picarelli with You" when a friend of the woman involved in the accident punched him in the face, reported Campo Grande News. After the attack, Silva fell to the ground and hit his head. He received only minor injuries.
Witnesses say that the attacker removed the tape from the cameraman's video equipment and put it in his sock, reported the site Capital News. The police arrived immediately and arrested the attacker.
