Brazilian television news crew robbed in São Paulo

In the wee hours Wednesday, Aug. 10, a television news crew was robbed near a military police base in the southern zone of São Paulo, reported Folha.com.

Two thugs on a motorcycle stopped beside the car of TV Record and, with a gun, ordered one of the reporters to turn over his notebook, according to the newspaper Jornal da Tarde. Afterward, the thieves fled and no one was injured.

A half-hour earlier, another robbery in the same area occurred, with the thieves described with the same characteristics as those that robbed the journalists, according to Campo Grande Notícias.

Recently, another episode of urban violence in São Paulo resulted in the death of a journalist, who was killed inside a grocery store.
