Colombian photojournalist has been missing for 20 days

By Ingrid Bachmann

The Foundation for Press Freedom (FLIP) reports that Rodolfo Flórez, a filmmaker and photographer from the port city of Buenaventura, disappeared 20 days ago.

According to EFE, anonymous calls to his family have warned: “don’t look for him.” The police have no clues to his whereabouts.

Flórez worked for several media outlets and was the president of a local foundation that supports film and media projects for young people, FLIP explains.

The president of the Buenaventura Journalists’ Union told EFE that Flórez hadn’t received any threats, but some speculate that his disappearance is related to his collaboration with a national TV channel that has published some of his work.
