Journalist Márcia Pache, from TV Centro-Oeste, affiliate of SBT in Pontes e Lacerda, west of Cuiabá, was hit in the face on Monday, June 28, by Councilman Lorivaldo Rodrigues de Moraes (DEM), known as "Kirrarinha," according to the website Midia News.
The reporting team recorded the incident (watch the video here).
According to Midia News, Kirrarinha is accused of obtaining power of attorney to receive the retirement money of seniors, and then keeping the money, and of authorizing the invasion of a property within a housing complex.
Pache filed a complaint against the councilman for assault and injury. The Journalists Union of Mato Grosso published a notice denouncing the alderman's attitude.
