A Bolivian reporter claimed he was attacked and his camera stolen while covering a protest El Alto, outside La Paz, Bolivia Thursday, Aug. 11, according to the International Freedom of Expression Exchange (IFEX).
Eleuterio Choque of the local radio station Atipiri said protestors stole his camera after taking a photo of parents throwing rocks and forcing open the front door of the El Alto City Hall to demand better quality school breakfasts.
Other reporters in the city also claimed supporters of Mayor Edgar Patana constantly threatened them while they reported on the mayor, according to IFEX.
The Federation of El Alto Press Workers (FTPEA in Spanish) and Radio Atipiri asked the Parents Federation to return the camera.
