A 26 year-old journalism student was killed early in the morning on Nov. 9. The student produced a local radio program in the Boca Chica province in the east of the Dominican Republic, reported Crónica Viva.
Emmanuel Cabrerea Duverge died from injuries related to four gunshot wounds he received when two assailants tried to steal his motorcycle on the evening of Nov. 6, reported El Nacional.
The Union of Journalists and the Union of Press Workers of the Dominican Republic denounced the killing and urged authorities to find and punish those responsible, according to Hoy.
