Chilean journalist dies 12 days after being shot during Workers' Day demonstration

"Francisca Sandoval, journalist for Signal 3 of La Victoria, passed away this Thursday morning [May 12]. The journalist was in serious condition at the Public Assistance Emergency Hospital (ex-Posta Central). This, after being shot in the Meiggs neighborhood [in Santiago, Chile] during a march for Workers' Day (May 1).

The journalist entered the hospital on May 1. She remained in the facility for 12 days, until her death."
