Film about Mexican journalist Carmen Aristegui's censorship case to be released in theaters

"In March 2015, [Mexican journalist] Carmen Aristegui and her team were fired from MVS Radio. Facing what clearly appeared to be an act of censorship, the journalist, her team and a network of more than 18 million listeners decided not to remain silent.

Interested in recording the process of that mobilization, the documentary filmmaker Juliana Fanjul decided to collect testimony of the events to begin creating 'Silencio Radio' [Radio silence]. The documentary, which was screened at fifty festivals and won several awards, will hit Mexican theaters on Jan. 20."
