Honduran investigative journalism news outlet Contracorriente celebrates its 2023 annual event

Contracorriente FEST, the annual event that celebrates the launch of the Honduran investigative journalism news outlet Contracorriente, will have its 2023 edition from Oct. 30 to Nov. 10, featuring a lineup of conferences, masterclasses, in-person events, and virtual activities, Contracorriente announced.

This year's event will feature an array of experts and journalism professionals who will share their insights and experiences through workshops, panel discussions, conferences, and masterclasses. Some of the topics that will be covered are the importance of journalism for democracy, the emergence of new technologies in the industry, journalism with a gender focus, and environmental journalism.

This year's speakers include Jennifer Ávila (Honduras), Claudia Baéz (Colombia), Jorge Cabrera (Nicaragua), Mauricio Ferro (Brazil), Pere Ortín (Spain), and Natalia Louzau (Argentina), among others.
