The Attorney General of the State of Baja California reported on Jan. 23 that a report was received through an emergency call to 911, saying that a woman had been shot while she was in a car. She was María de Lourdes Maldonado López. The journalist lived in the Villas neighborhood, in south Tijuana. So far, we know that an alleged hit man shot her at least three times and then fled in a taxi."
