"Two foreign journalists and Loida Avelar, from FACTUM magazine, were arbitrarily detained by a group of seven members of the Armed Forces of El Salvador (FAES, for its initials in Spanish), while they were reporting on the Terrorism Confinement Center (CECOT) in Tecoluca, San Vicente, El Salvador.
While they were recording general images of the main street for accessing the penitentiary in Tecoluca, a group of soldiers approached them and demanded they erase all the recorded material. The events occurred on the morning of Friday, May 9."
