“The human rights organization Surgentes reported that two art students and two producers in Venezuela were arbitrarily detained by the Bolivarian National Intelligence Service (Sebin).
The detainees are Noel Cisneros and Katiuska Castillo, students at the Central University of Venezuela (UCV), and producers Ingrid Briceño Venegas and Marcela Hernández Guerra.
According to reports, the group was working on preproduction when they were approached by authorities near the prison facility.
In a statement, Surgentes said: ‘They apparently took a photograph of the prison’s facade, which led the perimeter guards to approach them around 11 a.m., confiscate their ID cards, and tell them to wait because they would be interviewed.’ ”
