"Pablo Israel Vázquez, a journalist and news editor for the Chilpancingo newspaper Vértice, was robbed at gunpoint in the state capital's main square after leaving work.
This is the second violent robbery in the state in a week. Last Thursday, in the vicinity of the Atoyac River, reporter Francisco Magaña was attacked with a knife by a man during an alleged robbery, after covering the impact of recent rains on mango production.
The robbery of Pablo Israel Vázquez took place in the early minutes of this Tuesday [April 28]. The reporter himself disclosed the incident during a live broadcast shortly after falling victim to the crime.
