"[Brazilian] President Jair Bolsonaro was ordered to compensate journalist Patricia Campos Mello, of newspaper Folha de S.Paulo.
The decision was rendered by Judge Inah de Lemos e Silva Machado, of the 19th Civil Court of São Paulo, on March 16, 2021. The indemnity was fixed at R $ 20,000 (about US $3,500). On Feb. 18, 2020, Bolsonaro referred to the testimony of former Yacows employee Hans River do Rio Nascimento at the Fake News Inquiry Commission in Congress (CPMI as per the Portuguese acronym), on February 11. Without providing evidence, the deponent accused Patricia of offering sex in exchange for information for the report."
